Credentialing
A rigorous company-wide credentialing program ensures that PHS healthcare practitioners providing
on-site services have the training and credentials required to practice within their field.

PHS is one of only 12 organizations nationwide that have been awarded Health Provider Credentialing Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that establishes quality standards for the industry. PHS is the only private correctional healthcare company to have earned this designation.

Certification
Many PHS Health Service Administrators have obtained their Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification, demonstrating their knowledge and commitment to the correctional healthcare field.

Orientation
A comprehensive orientation program, tailored to the distinctive features of each contracted facility, is designed to prepare staff for the unique challenges of correctional healthcare. We familiarize each employee with the policies and procedures specific to the client agency, PHS and other applicable accrediting and governing bodies.

Continuing Education Units
Mandatory in-service training and access to Continuing Education Units (CEUs) provide professional employees with the opportunity to continually update their skills and knowledge and meet state-specific requirements.
