		Michael Catalano Chairman, Prison Health Services; President and Chief Executive Officer, America Service Group
	Michael Catalano has served as Chairman of PHS since September, 1998, when he also became President and CEO of America Service Group, the publically-traded parent company of PHS. In July, 2000, he was elected chairman of ASG. He has lifted the Company's growth objectives and led the management team that established ASG's position as the industry leader. Mr. Catalano is dedicated to the promotion of the Company's values and its mission of patient care. He joined the Company in 1996 as Executive Vice President of Development, General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Catalano has an extensive background in healthcare law and business. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Senior Vice President of Planning and Development and Chief Legal Counsel of Magellan Health Services, Inc., from 1989-1996. From 1980-1989, he held various legal and business development positions with Hospital Corporation of America and its group health venture, EquiCor. Mr. Catalano earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Science of Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He is a member of the California State Bar and the Tennessee State Bar.
